Acceptable Use Policy
Last Updated: September 28, 2026
Effective date: September 28, 2026. Version: 1.3.
This policy governs use of the First Gear AI service, including the platform layer installed in your instance, the dashboard, and our website at https://firstgear.ai. It is operated by First Gear AI LLC, a Texas limited liability company, and it is part of your Terms of Service. The point of the rules is simple: use your operator to run your business, not to harm people, break laws, or break the platform.
1. Do Not Use the Service to Break the Law
No use that violates applicable law or regulation, including consumer-protection, privacy, employment, fair-lending and fair-housing, export-control, and sanctions laws. No use to facilitate fraud, or to create, store, or distribute unlawful content. No use involving the sexual exploitation of minors in any form. We report what the law requires us to report.
2. Do Not Use the Service to Harm People
No harassment, threats, stalking, or incitement. No generating or sending deceptive communications, impersonation, or spam through workflows the platform layer helps you run. No use of outputs to unlawfully discriminate against any person, including in hiring, housing, lending, or credit. No use designed to manipulate people into harming themselves or others.
3. Do Not Misuse AI Capability
Follow the AI Supplemental Terms. Do not present AI outputs as certifications, stamped drawings, code-compliance determinations, or professional sign-offs that law requires a licensed human to make. Do not remove or bypass the human-approval safety rails. They exist so that nothing external happens without a person deciding it should. Your use of Claude must also comply with Anthropic’s Usage Policy under your own Anthropic agreement. A violation of that policy in connection with the Service is a violation of this one.
4. Do Not Attack or Destabilize the Platform
No probing, scanning, or penetration testing of First Gear AI systems without our prior written consent. That includes the Supabase project we run for you, which is our infrastructure even though the data in it is yours. No malware, no interference with service to others, no rate abuse of the dashboard or control plane. No attempts to defeat, disable, or tamper with access controls, audit logging, the assent ledger, or the maintenance access discipline. These protect you, and tampering with them ends the relationship. Report vulnerabilities responsibly to hello@firstgear.ai. Good-faith reports made in line with our Security Overview will not be treated as violations.
5. Respect Intellectual Property and Access Boundaries
No infringing others’ intellectual property. No copying, reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the platform layer or the agent configuration. No extracting or reconstructing them outside your license. No sharing credentials or providing access to non-authorized users. Your own data is a different matter: you can export all of it at any time. Once you have exported it, wherever you put it is your call, and your agreement with whoever provides that destination governs your use of it.
6. Account and Credential Hygiene
Per-user sign-in only. Never paste API keys, passwords, or recovery codes into a chat with any AI. Rotate credentials immediately on suspected exposure. First Gear AI will never ask for your credentials in chat, and a request that appears to come from us asking for them should be treated as fraudulent and reported.
7. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations using the account details we can see and what is reported to us. The dedicated Supabase project sits in our Supabase organization and we pay for it. Your data is locked on your screen before it reaches that project, with a key only you hold, so we cannot see what you saved. We do not sell your data, advertise against it, or use it to train AI models.
For most violations we will give you 14 days to cure. For severe cases (Sections 1, 2, and 4, or legal necessity) we may suspend or terminate immediately. Where practicable we will tell you what happened. You can write to hello@firstgear.ai. We do not commit to a response time. Suspension and termination effects are per the Terms of Service: your data remains yours, you can export everything, and we keep a locked copy for you at no charge so you can retrieve it later, on the terms in Section 11 of the Data Processing Addendum.
8. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Venue for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
